When you make your way onto MS Savor, climb to the top deck and take a moment to look over the rails and glance out as the riverbanks pass you by. Then, turn around and join back into the festivities, grabbing a cool vegan drink and enjoying the company of loved ones and new friends, ready for the adventures that await...

Accommodating up to 142 passengers as she winds her way along the mighty Danube River to offer our guests exclusive Vegan Travel discoveries in timeless cities, the modern riverboat MS Savor leads the way in spacious comfort with the most space per guest on Europe´s rivers.

In the entrance hall, our guests will find the Vegan Travel desk, reception, as well as a stylish bord shop. There is a bar Arthur´s on the Diamond Deck. On the Ruby Deck, passengers benefit from the beautiful Panorama Bar & Lounge. MS Savor is equipped with a modern wellness area and fitness room. A hairdresser is also found on board. A lift connects the three individual decks.

Savor´s deck plan is innovative; with a total of 71 cabins, the most popular cabins tend to be the largest... so the added ship length has been used to offer twenty-two 300-square-feet Master Suites - the most of any river cruise ship on any European river. To increase the amount of natural sunlight on the lower deck, 8 Loft Suites have been created that extend from the first to the second decks, providing guests with an additional view; all windows in these loft cabins open.

Vegan Travel will offer a bus transfer from Munich City Center to Munich Airport to our ship in Passau. The drive will take around 1,5 to 2 hours. Our bus will leave Munich in the early afternooon.
We recommend booking flights arriving at Munich Airport (MUC) a day earlier or before noon.

More details will be available with the shore excursions 6 - 8 weeks prior to the cruise departure. We will send all information to all booked guests via email. Then you can also book the transfer.

The exact coordinates will be announced to us only a few weeks before the cruise starts. You will get the information with your travel documents. What we can say by now is that you can assume the ship to be centrally located in Passau.
You will receive the exact location of our ship with your travel documents 3 - 6 weeks prior to our cruise.

day 2

At 8:30 AM we will arrive in Linz. After you enjoyed your first vegan breakfast onboard, you´ll have the whole day to explore the Austrian city.
The city is filled with culture and history and is perfect for any traveller. Linz is everything you would expect from an Austrian city – lovely architecture, cobbled streets and lots of cafes.

Although it is not as well-known as Vienna or Salzburg, Linz should have a place on your travel bucket list if you are looking for something unique. It is small enough to walk around comfortably but big enough to offer a lot of things to do. The old town is home to a number of museums and galleries that are full of culture and education and the old town is the first must-see area in Linz.

It is the historic city centre of Linz and has lots of lovely shops and restaurants situated here. Linz is known for its Old Town, which has retained many of the characteristics it had when it was first built.

In addition to that, Linz owes its wealth to the thriving Austrian steel industry. Many of the buildings in Linz are a result of this wealth and there are many beautiful examples to see.

The most famous building is the Rathaus (Town Hall), which was built between 1861 and 1869. It is located at the centre of Linz’s main square, where it still stands today.

The Old Town is also home to the impressive cathedral. This stunning building is worth a visit and offers great views of Linz from its tower. If you are feeling energetic, why not take a trip up there? The views are truly beautiful.

Or you could visit the Brucknerhaus, the Lentos Art Museum, the ARS Electronica Center, the Botanical Garden or you book one of the well-organized Vegan Travel shore excursions to get to know the highlights of this beautiful city.

During dinner time our ship will continue its way to Melk.

day 3

Early in the morning, at 2:30 AM, our ship will arrive in Melk. After breakfast you have the option to explore the small city of Melk and its Abbey – the highlight of this town.
Visiting the city of Melk is like opening the pages of a richly illustrated history book. The side-streets and squares of the old centre of town bring to life over 1,000 years of history. The “most splendid post house in Austria”, the old city towers, the Gothic parish church, the “Cottageviertel” featuring the famous Villa Loos, and the countless Burgher houses are among the attractions found in the historic centre.

Perched on dramatic cliffs high above the Danube, this ochre-colored confection – the Abbey of Melk - is perhaps the most raceful landmark of the Wachau Valley. Rebuilt during the 18th century after the original 12th-century building was destroyed by fire, its library is now home to a wide range of medieval manuscripts. The interior of the abbey’s church is a kaleidoscope of red, orange and gold, with a magnificent carved pulpit and colorful ceiling frescoes.

At 1 PM our ship will set sail towards Dürnstein. Enjoy the vegan lunch buffet onboard.

day 3

We will arrive in Dürnstein at 2:30 PM.

The town's location was ideal during the Middle Ages. The rocky, steep riverbanks protected against floods and allowed for fortification. Today, Dürnstein is regarded as the most romantic place in the Wachau Valley, making it a popular destination for tourists visiting the area.

If you love history as well as castles, you’ll fall in love with the public ruins above Dürnstein where Richard the Lionheart was imprisoned by the Austrian King. These ruins, a steep walk from town, are free to access to anyone and provide the perfect viewpoint to admire the many vineyards as well as the picturesque town below.

Dürnstein is full of colorful houses, cozy wine taverns, and and historic monuments, including the iconic blue tower that is part of the stunning Stift Dürnstein.

Our ship will dock in Dürnstein until the next morning.

day 4

We will arrive in Austria’s capital city Vienna at 4 PM.

Vienna is a beautiful mixture of history, a contemporary international city, and the old world. The city has everything you could wish for, making it impossible ever to get bored. For the third time in the last five years, Vienna has come top of the EIU’s ranking. The city offers plenty of opportunities for culture and entertainment, good infrastructure, and overall stability. The annual survey considers 30 factors, from culture and environment to stability and infrastructure, to determine the best places to settle down. Vienna also came first in the Mercer Quality of Living Ranking for ten years in a row in 2019.

As we will dock in Vienna until the next evening, you have plenty of time to explore this city.

day 6

When waking up in your cabin or suite and looking outside, you will notice that we already arrived in Bratislava. Bratislava is the capital of Slovakia and one of Central Europe's hidden gems. It often gets overshadowed by more famous neighbours, such as Vienna, Prague and Budapest, but it’s well worth adding to your European itinerary.

The city has a beautiful historic downtown: picture cute cafes, pubs, art galleries, cobblestone streets, beautiful green parks, Danube River trails and a castle. What’s more, it's affordable and small, making it easy to get around and explore.

Although Bratislava has just over 400,000 residents and is small in size, it’s mighty. That may be why it was nicknamed the Little Big City.

In the afternoon, at 5 PM, we will leave Bratislava.

day 7

Our ship will arrive at its final destination Budapest at 12 noon.

Budapest, the capital of Hungary. With a population of 2 million people, it is a beautiful city in the middle of Europe. Budapest has a rich history, great food, fascinating architecture, and it’s an ideal place for party lovers, as it offers a vibrant nightlife and many great bars and restaurants. The locals are friendly, the city is safe and there are plenty of sites to visit for tourists.

Also, Hungary boasts a long history and over the past 1000 years, many invaders left their traces in the country. Today, you can find Turkish thermal baths all over the city, you can see the ruins of the Roman Empire and you can discover many interesting historical sites that date back hundreds of years.

Does the ship have Wifi?

Yes, there will be WiFi onboard the ship, which is also already included in your cruise fare! Being close to shore, the connection is quite good at river cruises but internet on board can never be as reliable as on land. There will always be some level of unreliability, especially the further out to sea you sail.

Our connection relies on a cellular or satellite terminal—the best possible solution for river cruising. Due to the nature of data bandwidth and latency, as well as potential interruptions in satellite signals based on terrain and weather, you may experience slower online connections than you are accustomed to at home. That’s why we recommend to download your content such as movies, series or software updates before the cruise, so there is enough data for everyone to use the WiFi.

Travelers come from around the world, though all speak English fluently. They range in age from millenials to seniors. Couples, solo travelers, and honeymooners are all common. No one should feel out of place! A vegan journey of discovery not to be missed!

How can I book shore excursions?

Once we finished the planning of our shore excursions, all booked guests will receive an email with all details of our shore excursions.
Usually these details are available 6 - 8 weeks prior to cruise departure.

When will I receive my cruise tickets and travel documents with all details?
